June 17 is Father’s Day and to get ready for that day of appreciation, the City of Las Vegas is hosting a Father & Son Night Out on Fri Jun 8 from 6:30p-8:30p. Fathers and sons can get together to compete for prizes in root beer guzzling, tie tying, squirt gun and tug-o-war contests and lots more wholesome fun activities. The Grand Art Competition – Opening Reception

The Cultural Division of Clark County Parks & Rec is sponsoring “The Grand,” a non-themed art competition open to all media and all artists over 18 years old who live in Clark County. There is a cash award of $1000 for the “Best of Show.” Stephen Bendee will select 15-25 pieces for exhibit, as well as the cash prize winner. 2nd Annual “Kids Mix” Festival

This is billed as “Las Vegas’ largest kids festival for kids of all ages!” There are performances by Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus acts, a Little Divas Dress-Up Area, Saturn Super Soaker Section, appearances by Spongebob Squarepants, Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk. There’s also entertainment by Brenda Song from noon-3pm and T-Square, Ronn Lucas the Ventriloquist and a world-famous clown on the ArtofMusicUSA.com Main Stage.
