Kendo Pageant

Sat Aug 25 is a presentation by the Japanese American Cultural Society of “Kendo,” or “the way of the sword.” Kendo is the art of Japanese Samurai swordsmanship and one of the traditional Japanese martial arts. Physically and mentally challenging, it is rooted in the traditions of Budo, the Martial Way.
You will hear a short lecture about Kendo, which can be taught to every age level, and view demonstrations by students and masters young and old. Time is 2pm. Cost is $8 general/$5 seniors and students. Winchester Cultural Center 3130 S. McLeod Las Vegas NV
